Hurricane Relief

kits2Shepherd United Methodist Church family and friends are helping with Hurricane Harvey and Irma relief by collecting donations to assemble at least ten relief/cleaning buckets valued at approximately $65 each.  Rather than assemble the actual buckets, we are collecting funds to send to the Sager Brown Depot, United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), where the buckets will be assembled and distributed.  Please drop a check in any amount made out to UMCOR at the church.  For more information, please see Hurricane Harvey Relief.

Adult Choir

A choir for adults of all ages meets on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. to practice.  The choir shares their wonderful music during worship on most Sundays except during the summer months.  Practices are open to all; no auditions are necessary.   Accompaniment is provided by Anita Nartker on the organ and Judy Metcalf on the piano.   If you would like to share your talent for singing, please join us.

Isabella County Restoration House

ICRHAs has become normal for the Shepherd UMC, we helped support the ICRH Homeless Shelter the week of Thanksgiving, November 20 -27, 2016 and again February 12 -18, 2017.   The shelter residents were  housed in the Central Michigan Free Methodist Church.  We were blessed to be able to  provide and serve food, interact with shelter guests, “chaperone” overnight,  and clean-up after guests departed in the morning.  As soon as plans are announced for the 2017-18 season, we will be making our plans for participating.

For more information about ICRH, visit their Facebook page at Facebook/ICRHouse.
