Pastor Bill Chu

Bill Chu has always been a dreamer and lover of God. His lifelong passion for music and art reflects his pursuit of the transcendent.  His extensive training in the natural sciences has been an exploration of God’s creation.  Following the footsteps of his great grandfather and grandfather, Pastor Chu answered a call to pastoral ministry.  He has a heart for connecting people to God and to their neighbors.  Bill is keen on reaching out to those who do not yet belong to a faith community. Over the last 9 years of his career Bill has worked in the mission field of the Michigan State University, so he has had lots of practice connecting with young people with inquiring minds.  Bill’s spiritual gift is wisdom, which is to see the world as God sees. He truly enjoys helping others see themselves in this wisdom.

Brie Post, Admin Assistant

Brianne (Brie) Post is excited to join the Shepherd UMC family in the office. She grew up in the Methodist church, and after years of Sunday School, youth group, choir, and SPRC/One Committee, she found her niche working in the church office. The opportunity to help out at Shepherd and support the work of the church behind the scenes is like coming home. Previous positions include processing certifications for Section 8 Housing, assisting in the Behavioral Sciences office at UM-Dearborn, and recording and transcribing depositions as a court reporter. When she isn’t working, she enjoys video games (like any good millennial), reading, knitting, and cross stitching.
